Pet Dentals

Good dental hygiene is one of the easiest ways to keep your pet healthy. Our experienced vets are trained to perform dental checks, teeth cleaning and dental surgery on your dog or cat.

Why good dental health is important for your pet

Dental disease in dogs and cats can affect their general health and wellbeing. As well as them suffering from symptoms such as pain, discomfort and difficulty chewing, dental disease can contribute to other serious diseases such as diabetes, kidney disease and heart disease.

What are the symptoms of poor dental health?

We recommend a dental check up at least once a year which can be included in any appointment - just ask the vet. However, if you notice any of the following symptoms, it’s a good idea to come in earlier as it could be a sign of dental disease.

  • Bad breath

  • Loose teeth

  • Red and inflamed gums

  • Difficulty chewing

  • Loss of appetite

  • Bleeding gums

  • Discoloured teeth

  • Swelling around the jaw
